Ive been wearing the carhartt arctic lined coat since 19 78 12 years as a laborer in concrete construction and sewer and water work and then in the dump truck business 40 yearsi still have two of my old coatsone is ripped and wore out from constant wearingand the second was caught on fire by the torchmy new coat is not the sameand it is not as warmnot as heavy though heavy my older coats were made in the united states of americamy new coat is made in the third world country of mexicoim sure carhartt saves on the labor making it in mexicoit looks like the same coat but its not the same coat but what can you do thats how it is todayi also own a number of other carhartt coats insulated bibs and overalls throughout the years and theyve all held up throughout the yearsi used to work in carhartt carpenter jeans but found that dickies and lee jeans purchases good tell her its known to feed american working mans productand the pockets in the jeans are smallerdickies carpenter jeans the pockets are really smallbut in truth its just made some third world country like altogether onesthe coats are good or good enough better than the competition in fact im going to be buried in a carhartt coat with the arctic lining might be cold where im going

Ive had several carhartt coats over the years and living up in the northeast i would typically buy the co3 coat which was a great coat

The problem i have always had with these coats is the elbows and cuffs wearing out and getting holes fairly quick granted i would wear it as my work coat every day during the winter
