Pros

We have a grand-pup who loved our *, dingy carpeted stairs. Our steps feel safer now. No more slipping.

Cons

The material feels scratchy, cheap, and uncomfortable on bare feet. Top feels like a low quality sponge. It is like the top of the mat is velcro.

They are easy to clean and very durable.

The new treads have a sew-in piece of velcro on each end the width of the treads.

The resulting musty odor was unpleasant so we stripped it, painted the steps & applied these treads.

Packaging/appearance

I just applied the new ones today and when i opened the box i was stunned to see that the stair treads have had a design change.

They come with two small velcro strips( one on each side) but i did add a strip or two of double sided carpet tape to the middle.
