Pros

The forelock opening is much appreciated for the ssh’s long forelock. I appreciate that the velcro strap is scored as it reinforces the cut made when shortening to fit.

The length of the long nose fits both my horse size qh and cob size. I have a paso fino- ordered a size small pony/yearling and it fits perfectly. Fits my 2yr old standard donkey perfectly.

The eye pieces stay away from henry's face and don't seem to cause any chafing or rubbing. It stays on and cleans up great! They encourage tear production through stinging your horses eye.

The extended muzzle uv protection is an added plus, but it also adds additional work when the horse clears their nostrils. Ears are very long and nose piece covers her nose perfectly so i don’t have to worry about sun burn.

Cons

The netting is so weak it sets on the eyes. It irritates them. The other 2 now have big gapping holes in the ears.

The flies in massachusetts are the size of hummingbirds honestly and ripping my boy apart !

They last the whole season in great shape and they last as a secondary mask for a second year even with machine washing twice a month.

Tried a 'cheaper' brand from local tack store - ruined and torn in 3 days!

A bit pricey however for what it is .
