Pros & Cons
Pros
It's a good piano for beginners. I'm a beginner still, and just wanted something new and fresh with a little more features and a little closer to how a “real” piano would feel. I like that it has a usb port for midi instead of the old midi cable conne... Read More
For $200, this keyboard is a real bargain. A nice feature is a set of physical * and a volume knob across the front panel. Lastly, my favorite part about this product is it’s beauty.
This casio is an entry level hobby unit that is useful for recording too. The ct-s1 has a satisfying number of keyboard tones to choose from. The casiotone ct s500 or the cts1000v. Have the same updated soundchip as the aix.
The keys have a matte textured feel and they are touch sensitive. The smaller keys here provide a diversion from a graded hammer platform more akin to spinner sized keys. The keybed feels good for the cost.
I really love the sound of this thing, it is pretty darn incredible. The sounds is fantastic and the key respond is beyond my expectations. Other than that very happy with the preset sounds.
Highlights
Quality
Sound quality is beyond what you could expect of a portable and very affordable keyboard like this.
The sound and build quality is amazing!
It does make for a decent practice keyboard but i'm not overjoyed with the quality of its voices.
Sound quality through headphones isn't as good as the built in speakers.
Shipping
Shipping was surprisingly fast (i live outside of the us).
Packaging/appearance

However, i’d like to get the one negative out of the way.
Competitiveness
The sound is fuller and better eq'd than a lot of the competition.
The keys are nearly full-size, have a matte finish and a good touch sensitive response.
And some of the competition has pretty dismal sound quality if you try to connect them to external speakers or headphones -- i.
Otherwise, it compares to other competitors by being more portable, with excellent keys, and the output is very "clean.

I am in love with the sound of the fender rhoads electric piano but a fender rhoads weighs 130lbs and is to expensive for my skill level
