Pros & Cons
Pros
The casiotone ct-s1 has a very nice, clean output.
The keys are nearly full-size, have a matte finish and a good touch sensitive response. The smaller keys here provide a diversion from a graded hammer platform more akin to spinner sized keys.
The built-in speakers are very serviceable. I connected it to my high powered audio system using the 1/8 and it not only sounds loud, it sounds better. Headphone jack is little noisy.
The body of the keyboard is well constructed and does not feel fragile. It is light and easy to tote around by the handle. I love the fact you can put on straps and hold it like that.
The sound is pretty darn incredible. The richness and volume of sound is impressive for the price. The key respond is beyond my expectation.
Highlights
Quality
The sound quality is decent, especially with headphones.
Sound quality is beyond what you could expect of a portable and very affordable keyboard like this.
Sound quality through headphones isn't as good as the built in speakers.
Other models with the aix sound source have a much wider range of tones, including wind, brass, and string instruments.
Price
This product is amazing for its price.
Shipping
Shipping was surprisingly fast (i live outside of the us).
Packaging/appearance
However, i’d like to get the one negative out of the way.
Competitiveness
Otherwise, it compares to other competitors by being more portable, with excellent keys, and the output is very clean.
The keys are nearly full-size, have a matte finish and a good touch sensitive response.
And some of the competition has pretty dismal sound quality if you try to connect them to external speakers or headphones -- i.
