Pros

Great buy in my opinion. They take a * and keep on ticking! My 12 yr old wears it on one of my retired nato straps. My aging eyes are starting to prefer a bigger font on my wrist.

Water resistant to 200 meters. No issues with showering or hotub. Got lots of use and dunking in the pool and ocean. Easy to read and easy to read.

Easy to adjust time and all except for the countdown timer. The current time is displayed in both the stopwatch and timer modes.

This is the best looking g-shock - not gaudy, simple and very rugged, preserving the natural overall round shape of a timepiece. The dw-6900 and dw-5600 are very much the modern everyday watch that can handle a beating.

Cons

The circles at the top are pointless and a waste of space, they darken and lighten as seconds go by, looping every minute. If you have to take it off to set the countdown or stop watch, the event you were timing is over before you are ready. The watch... Read More

Only advantage this watch would have is the thick rubbery shell and 200m instead of 100m depth rating. No real g-shock comes with a plastic buckle.

It arrived today so far its great.

On last deployment to afghanistan i took it off and set it on the mrap dash in window.

Packaging/appearance

Nicely packed in a classic casio cardboard box with a plastic stand.

Unfortunately the item i got has a little scratch on bezel, and arrived without the attached tag.

Competitiveness

A few bucks more than similar version, but buttons and band hinges are metal, not plastic.

At the price it is a beater g shock as long as you do not need the more advanced functions available on many other more expensive models.
