Pros & Cons
Pros
Tough solar is exactly what casio makes. Lightweight and charges itself. Another pros is water resistant. It's 100m water resistant but. It is lightweight and my long sleeve shirts do not get hung up on it as happens with thicker watches. Good toughne... Read More
Had one of these watches for seven years and maybe adjusted the time two or three times. New model is much thinner and lighter all around from the clasp, to the band, and the case/dial. Great thing about the silicone straps is they are easy to clean a... Read More
Solar power keeps it charged for a long time without the need to recharge or replace a battery every two years or the constant winding/resetting of the time of automatic watches. Using last 5 years and its a solid design and model.
I notice this after buying an automatic ceramic watch, and then i can say that the feeling is very drastically. My steel watch is like a scratch magnet.
Cons
The date display options are non-existent for the mon, tues, etc. This is not as useful to me as the day of the week and the date like mon 25th versus mon 59 seconds. The manuel is too smallto read.
This is the second time a casio seal has let me down. No diving or undersea exploration. It has no second hand! Truly is a design flaw.

The strap has a real nice finish and feel and really compliments the watch.

If you work nights, about once a month i would have to leave this watch in the window sill to recharge while i slept during the day.
Price
The best $40 i've spent in a long time.
The watch for its price is almost perfect.
I buy a band for about $10-$13 and only takes a minute or two to swap it out.
I don't know how this watch isn't like $300 by now.
Shipping
Aside from that, the watch arrived pristine and set up to my time zone with ease.
Competitiveness
With no particular brand in mind, this came up and the description on how it’s small and light it is, that this may suit a boy ... Read More
There are thousands of cheap watches out there but nobody (even timex) makes budget watches like casio.
The next nearest competitor is another casio with a titanium case.
I compared the accuracy against a gab2100 for 48 hours.
