This is a very durable jigsaw and worked well cutting around pipes to remove sub floor.

Quality and well made - exactly what you expect from this brand.

The minute you pick up the tool, you can tell it's superior quality and build.

It's good because it makes you feel like it's durable, but bad, because after using it on a job site all day, it gets to be a pain to use.

The price seems a little high to me.

But the bosch is $165; the cat is about $15.

That being said, this arrived as described and exceeded my expectations.

I would have wished it came with a case.

I have probably owned 4 different brand jigsaws in the past 10 years and this one is by far the best one i have owned.

Therefore, i thought this jigsaw was just a generic company that "license" the cat brand to sell their power tools.

I think caterpillar is trying to compete against dewalt and milwaukee.

It does take a little more strength than the bosch to keep it following the line, because the cat vibrates quite a bit more than the bosch.
