The point where you insert a coin to open the case may have stressed the plastic and a piece chipped off rendering the case not waterproof see photos

However since i purchased the case through catalystamazon not a reseller or third party i filed my warranty claim and a new case is on the way

The phone was never submerged but never let any splash water in either
