I am guessing they would help if you wanted to play with the stand raised to a higher position but i can't see what to do with them.

Didnt care for the main center bolt screw post that hold the stand in position

I certainly cant screw them into my keyboard there is no hole and not enough height to insert a 3 inch long bolt anyway
