As other reviews stated there were not any directions in the box on how to put together

The phone holder has the two bottom pieces that swing out to hold the phone at the bottom that do not interfere with the charger opening and help hold the phone in place

The one foam piece on the side is starting to peel off though and it is a little flimsy in the back where it connects to the vent

I put my phone in the cup holder the little slot above the cup holder the passenger seat and it always seemed to fall into the floor lost in the obyss that is underneath the seat that you obviously cant retrieve your phone from while driving

So you can trust me when i say that this thing works for what you need it to work forthe button on the back is what adjusts it outwards to fit your device and you manually squeeze it back in to clamp it on

I dont use it for the flip phone because well its just a company phone and doesnt get used but 10 times a day
