Pros

This product is paraben free and fragrance free. I already use cerave facial cleanser at night because it leaves my skin clean and hydrated.

A small dollop of the gel-like lotion glides smoothly over the face and is quickly absorbed. It has no yucky smell, goes on smoothly and is not sticky. The serum and oils replenish and smooth without making my face look greasy or taut.

Makes my skin feel so smooth and moisturized. I like how smooth and soft it makes my skin and the redness seems less noticeable after using it. Leaves my skin moisturized and replenished all day.

The serum is white with that kind not pearlized or slightly gel-like appearance. It takes a minute or two to soak in before applying moisturizer or makeup. It is supposed to lock in any moisture in your complexion.

Cons

Moisturizer has so much denatured alcohol that it’s irritating my face. When i wear makeup over the product, it continues to flake and peel right off. This one makes my skin feel very dry and itchy, i don't understand why.

Competitiveness

Reasonably priced (when compared to other expensive brands) this cerave delivers on all counts.

I like some cerave products more than others but this one is a real winner.

In fact, i had been paying twice the price for a different brand ha serum before switching to this—it too contains denatured alcohol.

It's great for those of us unable to use most anti-aging products, plus it's much less expensive than department store brands of skin care.
