Pros & Cons
Pros
At 2%, the salicylic acid works great as chemical exfoliant. The product is kind of a clear thick gel that lathers up a lot and rinses off easily.
It works great for pre-teens and teenagers experiencing onset of acne. It is great for my rosacea and mixed acne. I have cystic acne and after going off my birth control i was terrified that my cysts would return.
This stuff is gold for me. This fits the bill. A little goes a long way and at $28. Highly recommended. Just got this two weeks ago and have seen improvements in my skin.
The squirt bottle is easy to use. The pump is nice and squirts out the right amount. Overall this seems like a solid choice, with a decent quality bottle and dispenser.
Cons
It’s also deceptively mild. I now have a little red burnt patch of skin on one cheek where this seems to have burned my skin off.
Highlights
Quality
I can't tell you how much i love this product.
However, so far, i am very pleased.
I would only suggest first time users with really bad acne then switch over to a more less harsh/organic product.
Original review product had not been received.
Price
I’d buy it if the price was right, knowing it’ll clean but isn’t a miracle.
Shipping
It has fast become one of my favorites.
Packaging/appearance
It’s just simple packaging that is straightforward and says what it should do when used properly.
It doesn’t look girly or have bold, bright packaging.
Competitiveness
I saw other reviews saying theirs did not say cerave llc on the back of the bottle which made them skeptical but mine did.
Ive used cerave sa for over a year now.
One of them was a salicylic acid face wash that dried my face out terribly, so i tried this cerave product with very low expectations.
Dray - who is a dermatologist - on youtube and she strongly recommends cerave products.
