Eero does continue to update the software regularly and adds features it now has lan persistence which means that it will continue to work as a network router even if you lose internet and its rebooted

Before we had google wifi again and it only meshes two access points over wifi which i have experienced to be less performant than ethernet

So i installed three eeros and backhauled the wifi to a switch via ethernet
