While this works great for me given that i have the right tools it isnt as practical for someone who doesnt have a pin removal and replace tool

Also if you cut on the wrong end accidentally youll have to pick up a missing link to make it work

The chain i replaced appeared not to have been maintained well and an outer plate had popped off a rivet
