Due to the clutch on the rear derailleur and the shape of the teeth on this chain ring, the chain is well tensioned and doesn't jump off.
Narrow wide teeth will give your chain better retention and stop it skipping or falling off.

I got this mainly to get the bolts which would have cost £8 separately.
Competitiveness
Most other narrow/wide chainrings are 3-4 times as much and i'm not sure they are going to be any better.
I found using a 10 speed chain on 9 speed system suited this chainring better which was a little noisy with my 9 speed chain.

Cleaner having only 1 shifter on the bars lighter and cleaner only having 1 ring to clean and no front mech getting caked in dirt

Not sure how long this will last as ive only done a few rides with this on but havent had a chain come off despite only using a standard non clutch deore rear mech but did take 3 links out of the chain

The chainring come with new bolts which can be more than £6 by themselves so to get the whole lot for £10 is a bargain
