Pros
Included propane connection is designed to connect directly to a standard propane cylinder tank. Overload was handled correctly disconnecting power while continuing to run and overload reset worked correcly.
It puts out steady amps and volts. It is a little noisier than expected, but acceptable.
Great job amazon, teaming up with champion. It is extremely well built, & heavy duty. The unit was packaged very well.
Handled at least 1300 watts and microwave cooking. Comes with an angled funnel, a 12v usb adaptor, hose and regulator for a propane tank. When both generators are running, you get a clean 3600 watts using propane.
The dual fuel is really what i was after. It is also expandable if more power is required. And for redundancy.
Cons
It is true what other reviewers say when they say they are difficult to start on propane. Neither the description in amazon nor the manufacturer's own video say that you must connect the unit to a 4+' copper grounding rod. Had high hopes for this gene... Read More

Do your first oil change - run like instructions say - very easy to follow - i’m very happy with this product
So 4 stars for a great product, but the quality control and customer service is definitely lacking.
If you want a generator that starts with the turn of a key and/or the push of a button, then this is not the model for you.
With the mild vibration from the generator anything plugged in will back out.
Price
And the price is pretty good too.
I do not like that the price more than doubled after my purchase though.
Packaging/appearance
Now, i need to run to the store and buy some oil so i can use the machine that is suppose to be able to run right out of the box.
Competitiveness
Ran a 900w microwave as a test and all seemed as advertised.
I tow my camper with a full-size van so the generator has to live inside the van and not stink up the place; this is perfect for that.
5 hours per pound of propane (nearly two days on a 30lb rv tank).
The status screen is where this model is way above the competition.

After a call to champion it turns out the regulator i received was the wrong part number

My buddy who is a ferrari tech grabbed the exploded diagram took one look then looked inside with the panel off and was able to see that the two white cable connectors that deliver power to the plugs were not connected

As long as you aren’t in an emergency andor as long as you have the help of a ferrari tech with 20 years experience diagnosing engine problems
