To fully use the awesome capabilities of this unit you do need to have a outdoor plugin for this unit home wifi to complete the connection to your phone or tablet and have downloaded the app

The only complaint i had was that everything seemed to be packed into the box backwards meaning i had to empty the box in order to get to the first piece i needed to assemble
