If you close the lid with the unit set to high things will get crispy very quickly.

Need to be sure the gas from the tank is fully turned on otherwise the igniter will not work and you need to be sure the cover is completely open to avoid any sudden explosive incident

Ive had to drag it in the house at christmas to thaw out the heater control before i could use it and then take it back outside

If you have the big easy with the large metal lid leave it open or close it for no more than 15 minutes and check it a couple of times
