The portable outlet if its full at 100 four lights will recharge a mbps near dead battery almost to 100

So over all we are pleased just a bit disappointed that our mbp will exceed the devices specs at times when you really need to use the computer and recharge at the same time

As stated above it wont recharge and run our 15 retina macbook pro but it will with the lower wattage 13 macbook air

If you can shut down the computer for awhile and allow the unit to recharge in that state then that is where this device shines
