Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect light weight butter dish for 1 stick of butter. The clear plastic works well knowing how much butter is left over. It nicely holds a 1/4 pound butter without the top touching it. It looks nice and the lid is easy to pick up.
Cons
The plastic is very thin and fragile. Also lid comes off too easily. It's rather flimsy.
The product came damaged. The box was dented. The bottom piece cracked in half.
The old adage still holds true; you get what you pay for, but in this case i didn't even get that. Not worth 4 cents let alone 4 dollars. Cheap item and not worth returning but beware.
Highlights
Quality
I love this butter holder becuz it's super light and not as slippery as a glass holder
Light weight & just what i needed.
The dish i bought to replace my last one, only lasted a couple of weeks before i managed to break it doing the butter thing.
Plastic is hard and probably easy to crack.
Price
Affordable and easy to move from counter to frig.
Six bucks for 3 years is a great value for a plastic kitchen item that gets daily use.
However, if by giftable you mean something that looks worth more than you paid, then, no.
Shipping
Nice item, came fast and was good price.
Packaging/appearance
Once opened, i don't refrigerate butter and these butter dishes protect from dust, insects.
I was confused how it arrived because the way it's assembled makes you think the lid goes on one way but you can put it any way you want.
