Pros
These are more durable and easier to hold. They stick together for easy storing. Makes it easy to hold the cob.
Cons
When removing the corn holder from the corn cob after eating, either the rubber part starts to slide off or the metal prong comes off in the corn. Not dishwasher safe. Break at the prongs.

Pro: very sturdy, sharp points that puncture the cob ends with ease, two prongs prevents the cob from spinning, and large easy to grip.
The holders have fat, rubbery grips that make them really easy to hold, and the prongs are long enough to stay securely in the cobs.
I got these as the corn shaped ones which have been around forever, started rusting.
To wash them, i throw them in the dishwasher silverware rack and then make sure i drain them on a drying mat when i take them out.

For some corn cobs it may be tough to get them pushed in enough or you wont have a good spot at the narrow end
