All you need to do is run it under the faucet. Cleaning is simple since i usually just drop the parts into the dishwasher. Easy to disassemble and clean and reassemble.

This little item takes a little getting use to but it does work. It is a bit hard to get out sometimes, but it's alright. This is a fun little tool that worked well for me.
