Pros & Cons

Pros

When the butter is fresh from the shaker, it’s solid enough to stand up on its own, but also blends easily. It takes about 10 minutes of shaking the jar; but it wasn’t difficult at all. Tip is to put the rubber part on the top and then close the lid.

Fresh-made butter is airier and more malleable than store-bought butter.

Lemon/meringue color is perfect for my kitchen. The strainer feature is handy, as is the built in carafe.

The butter maker is a game-changer. It’s so much easier than getting out mixer or some other contraption to make butter.

Cons

If you like white glop that is the result of buttermilk not separating from butter fats, this piece of * is all you.

Quality

Super easy to use and clean; it’s like a shake weight, but better because you get butter at the end.

Fresh-made butter, even if it’s rinsed and stored well, has a life expectancy of about a week, tops, so be prepared to use it quickly.

I've never had any problems with the seals leaking even after a year of use and washing all the parts in the dishwasher.

There was minimal liquid to discard, once the churning (shaking of the jar) was complete.

Price

The only thing i wish for is more color options, but that's a small price to pay for such a great product.

The only thing that could be improved is the grip on the jar, but that's a small price to pay for such a fantastic product.

Don't waste your money on one of those $40-$50 crank churns.

The only downside is that there was a bit of a mess during shaking, but that's a small price to pay for delicious homemade butter.

Competitiveness

Also, fresh-made butter is airier and more malleable than store-bought butter.

This made it very hard to separate the butter from the buttermilk
