I was gifted this for review. It was packaged so well. It takes longer than i expected to get it ready to use.
It holds the bowl in place perfectly and the bowl has a slight inward lip so whatever you are grinding isn't constantly flying out of the bowl. Works great for grinding spices. Does a great job of breaking down herbs and spices, egg shells for compost... Read More

I received this ceramic spice ball to give an honest review and would not buy. It looks like a toilet plunger. Broke in pieces after some weeks.

I love how heavy it is, and the silicon base keeps it sturdy and from scratching my counters.
Love it, great base and large enough to grind a lot of herbs, avos
Don't expect to achieve more than partial grinding or crushing of foodstuff; your palm will hurt after 5 mins.
Most stains washed out, the tougher stain (cloves) i followed up w/white rice and the stain was removed!
Price
I paid full price for this mortar and pestle and have nothing negative to say about it.
Purchased "used" with discount due to slight damage.
Seems way more expensive/"luxury" than it is.
Packaging/appearance
This came in a nice box and was extremely well packaged.
It came in really good condition and nicely wrapped up.
Note:my care instructions were located on the side of the box.

It is a bit smaller than expected maybe thats the size theyre supposed to be

My one minor complaint is that it doesnt clean as neatly as id hoped so there is always a bit of a residuestain from whatever i had previously ground

Well sized if you want to pick it up and hold it while grinding down spices

After a couple of months use it hasnt picked up any permanent stains though it did take some scrubbing to get a few bbq rubbing spices cleaned out of it
