The colour changing thing seems gimmicky, but i suppose a warning it's still hot is useful for those who don't always treat kettles with caution. The colour change is pretty good too.

You can see the colour changing back to black as the kettle cools so you know you wont scald yourself

Water level indicator a bit difficult to see would have been better not to have placed this under the handle which is quite chunky
