Pros
This panini press, grill, is versatile. Adjustable temperature makes it super versatile. It has a short cord, so you need to have a clear counter space next to an outlet.
Preheats in 5 to 6 minutes, and holds it's temperature pretty well. Digital option allows for various temp time settings. This starts the preheat and preheat is displayed. Once preheated this grill cooks 2-1/4 lb burgers to perfection.
Plates are easy to remove for cleaning, and to reverse them for panini or flat grill. The plates heat up evenly and don't stick to the surface. Plates flip over to create a great griddle for eggs and pancakes.
Chefman 5-in-1 digital panini press grill is very handy for perfecting a cuban sandwich. A sandwich press and griddle. Combo with reversible dishwasher-safe grilling plates.
Adjustable hinge allows extra-large sandwiches to get evenly toasted. Hinge floats for any size bread. Love the floating hinge for thicker sammies.
Cons
The panini grill is the worst thing i've ever bought. It is very cheaply made. The grease collection tray is a joke- flimsy, plastic, and guaranteed to warp over time. A big scam.

Putting them back is simply by putting them into position and snapping them back in place

If you open the machine up and move the release button on the handle it will open up completely flat for use as an electric griddle

We also have made great grill cheese sandwiches using matching griddle surfaces though we turned the heat down to 350 degrees so the bread would toast more before the cheese completely melted out of the sandwich
