Pros & Cons
Pros
Firehouse subs sell them for $2-$3 which is basically at cost. Naturally i assume that makes it a lot better. But it does the job regardless.
The harbor freight guard is a tight fit, the chemical guys is a perfect fit. This fits perfectly in a standard 5 gallon bucket.
Cons
The plastic cyclone cone which came broken is so thin that even a 2 year old can bend it with a mild squeeze. There are no finger holes for me to lift the trap up and out so i have to use a coat hanger to lift it out.
Too small to fit snug in the chemical guys bucket. Does not fit lowes or home depot buckets. Too large for any common bucket. Did not fit my walmart 5 gallon bucket.
Not impressed. Too expensive and useless. Another great method to squeeze more money from you.

This novel dirt trap insert interested me since it supposedly is a one-way trap to keep all the washed off grit below the trap ... Read More
Price
99 plus tax which has measurements on the side.
Competitiveness
I have looked at other brands and this one looked the best, i can't wait to use it.
This is better than other grit guards and there are many youtube videos explaining the science behind the cone structure.
It will not fit properly in the standard 5 gal buckets you buy from lowe’s or home depot.
