I went with cherry mx switches because they were often and highly recommended but learned that in this application the switches must have firm posts
Instead of modifying my current keyboard which would require disassembly desoldering soldering etc i decided to go with a deck with swappable switches
I wanted a custom keyboard with certain switch pressures for specific keys
