This book does reference guitar as other reviewers point out and i suspect it was ported over from another text but it’s really more of an editing issue

Aside from that i do not think it is as much of a problem as one reviewer stated

The book is about jazz soloing and when you get to that point the instrument does not really matter

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This information is relevant to any instrument the reader plays because soloing improvising chord tones is not instrument specific

Despite the unfortunate editing issue it is very much for bass guitar but probably not for the beginner
