The gtv interface has its pros and cons but its usable

However a usb ysplitter on the uscc power input does allow you to add usb devices such as a keyboard dongle memory stick or usb ethernet adapter the drivers are built into android

Its just unfortunate that you cant use the ysplitters widely available for the amazon fire stick because those are for microusb instead of usbc
