Glass quality is very nice, excellent clarity and very low distortion. Clamping mechanism applies good clamping force. They need to include more rubber inserts to enable good fitment on a wider variety of windshield frame designs.

I guess the mirror got a little to hot because the mirror part fell off

I guess i expected an almost 200 mirror to be attached to the base with something other than double sided tape

The mounting hardware didnt fit my windshield trim very well the profile of the rubber pieces were loose

I did call cipa about the loose mounting hardware and they sent me some pieces of dense neoprene to replace the fuel line hose

Not recommended for small boats because this is a massive mirror and you might be forced to mount it in a location that could encumber the driver’s forward view

Also it’s heavy and might bounce while mounted if your windshield frame isn’t rock solid

Now the clamp lever is on top rather than the default position which was the bottom of the clamp

However the mirror housing is cheap plastic which is disappointing
