On the other hand due to the way they designed the mounting mechanism it is not very flexible and i was only able to attach it with significant effort and a fair amount of time at the hardware store searching for a nut that would work

As far as i can tell there is no way to remove the mirrors from the housing which complicates mounting

The mount is a bolt protruding from the back mounted in a semiballsocket

For my purpose either the bolt did not protrude far enough or the provided knob was not deep enough and so i could not secure it with the included hardware to the mounting bracket that came with my malibu wakesetter g3 tower

This was a disappointment as i am pretty sure this mirror is a oem option so had assumed that this would not be an issue it was
