I have not used merino before but i did not find this to be particularly soft maybe this is because i mostly use chenille yarn

Although the color is pretty accurately represented on screen it turns out in real life its not my favorite color—but color is subjective so i cant dock stars for that and given how much i like the feel of this i may try some of the variegated colors instead

The yarn didnt become untwisted while i knit or split so i was beyond excited about that
