Now i don’t know for sure if the base in red is merely for show i doubt it but i think there should be consistency no matter the color for a particular model

You cant tell how much water is in there so im forever sticking my finger in there to judge depth

The color is red with an orange undertone not as red as it shows on the picture

I was surprised the handle didnt give more room to get to the hole on top since the handle is fixed but it didnt end up being a problem for pouring water in
