Pros

The holes in the strainer are large enough so that the food steams quicker. The cover is glass so you can see the food while it is cooking without having to remove the cover. The drainage hole in the lid makes the lid very versatile.

The pan is taller and stackable. It's a little heavier than cheaper pans, but not overly so. The weight is nice enough that it doesn't move around a lot when you're stirring.

Easy to clean with a quick soak. Metal utensils can be used with it. My husband uses for oatmeal every day.

The insert is not non-stick, but why would it be? Great durable none stick surface. It cleans very easily because it is nonstick.

Cons

Another circulon, non stick coating. Product description says the pot as being oven safe to 500°f. Safety and care info says that the temperature in fact in 400°f.
