Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect size for edc, fantastic blade shape and grind, good ergos. I own many knives costing more and this is my favorite edc. The altus works just as good as my other 3-to-4 hundred-dollar knives!
Nitro-v is easy to sharpen and holds an edge fairly well. It's nice and light but also feels sturdy. Great construction, appearance, and feel.
It fits in my hands perfectly. It is fairly small, but still fits my full hand. I wear size large gloves, so it might be a little small for someone with xl hands. Comfortable in my (small-ish) hands.
Action is fidgety and addictive. The ability to move the clip to the show side is awesome as a lefty.
Once you clean it up and break it in, the button action smooths itself out. The only real gripe i have with this knife is the pocket clip.
Cons
The button lock is stuck in the pressed position and wouldn't pop up. The blade is loosely locked but actually isn't really locked at all. In the case of a sharpened blade that rattles and flops and cannot lock, it's downright dangerous.
Cannot recommend knife. Exchanged for another and identical issues. Don't waste your time skip this one completely. That is when disappointment started setting in.
Look at the area around the pivot under the scales shows no pattern.
Highlights
Quality
I'm pretty amazed by the quality for under $100.
I would say that the scale quality is on par with what you'd normally associate with higher priced knives.
Fast delivery but disappointed with the button lock stick.
It’s so fidgety with the button lock!
Packaging/appearance
First off, the micarta scales are great.
Competitiveness
Civivi tends to offer a lot of features at a fantastic price point.
