Pros

The baby banter fits perfectly in the short coin pocket of my pants. The knife is very comfortable and fits my large hands excellently. I love the small size which is still useful for most tasks but also unassuming to bring out and use around large gr...  Read More

Civivi are some of the best bang for your buck knives. I love it and would def buy another one again. Zero complaints so far.

The baby banter opens and closes so easily and smoothly. Clip is good, not too tight, but holds the knife deep and secure in the your pocket.

The grip is textured and feels good in the hand. The locking mechanism is solid. My only gripe is that i would like to see a better steel used.

Great edc knife by civivi. It is done well. I'm extremely picky when it comes to knives. I hope that helps.

Cons

The bad. Pocket clip is super tight and it's hard to get in and out of pockets especially gym shorts. The liner lock only engages 30%. The handle is largely only plastic, vs the elementum which is plastic over a metal frame.

Quality

I own another civivi and am duly impressed with the quality of both.

this is my first knife from this brand and i’m really pleased with the quality.

I've been seeing this knife for a while and was afraid to pull the trigger because i'm not familiar with the company and the pr...  Read More

I wasn’t expecting such quality workmanship for the price point of this knife.

Price

The opening action on the banter is pretty smooth considering the price.

Also i like the nitro v steel and for the price, go ahead and try one!

Packaging/appearance

This knife is sharp right out of the box.

Needed sharpening near the tip, out of the box.

Competitiveness

I currently carry either a spyderco ladybug or a victorinox rambler in that pocket.

Compact, convenient everyday carry, quick mechanism, rivals syderco

He started with a spyderco dragonfly 2 and refined it to what ended up being a smaller version of the banter.

The crkt squid is all metal which may be a plus to some but this results in the knife having a bit of heft i would rather not have

Some might say to get a pilar but the blade on that is far too thick and still weighs quite a bit compared to other knives at its size

Not to mention for 10 more on the pilar you can get this knife with better steel
