Pros & Cons
Pros
Discovered this brand a short while back and instantly fell in love. If this one speaks to you, it's a solid option. Definitely going to be picking up more knifes from this brand.
The blade is a simple shape that should be easy to sharpen and clean. Even the grind is clean. Blade is drop shut without effort and perfectly centered with an even grind. Blade finish is durable, keep it oiled.
The handle is comfortable and has a slip resistant grip. A tad big, but feels great in the hand.
Pocket clip is deep carry and can be repositioned to the opposite side of the knife. The hook it has is on a perfect spot it doesn’t stick out of your pocket and make it noticeable. There's a thumb-stud, the clip is reversible, and there's a lanyard s... Read More
Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel has good edge retention while being easy to take to a razor sharp edge as well. Takes an edge rivaled by none in my book.
Cons
I wish this company had a better warranty to repair issues like this.
Highlights
Quality
Both of us were very happy with the quality and appearance.
You will be blown away with the quality and it has a full lifetime warranty with it to boot.
So i went with the badlands knife.
Not sure why they give you a eye glass case and a lens cleaner cloth with the purchase of a knife.
Price
civivi is one of my favorite knife companies.
Sandvik 14c28n is a swedish steel designed for pocket knives and it shows.
Shipping
Civivi is fast becoming my favorite brand so when i noticed them using this steel i had to pick one up and it did not disappoint.
It's just as fast as assisted opening knives without a safety.
Packaging/appearance
I didn't buy it in black to seem less tactical and scary to women but honestly i got an odd look for using it on the packaging ... Read More
Competitiveness
Over all really happy, no lie it's build quality rivals benchmade barrage, griptilian, and sog trident all day long.
All things considered it's no chinese knockoff and is in the realm of benchmade or higher end sog's i've carried.
I'm sure there are other knives out there that offer all of those features (i've seen a few civivi models that come close - i w... Read More
From my experience i can’t tell the difference between 14c28n, vg10, or 154cm.

If i had to come up with a complaint i like the clip on the opposite end of the knife compared to its location on this knife but that’s more of a personal preference

I’m not a fan of the lanyard loop as it rubs my palm and at times creates a pressure point

Definitely would feel better if it was wider or just not there at all
