Pros & Cons
Pros
Locks up tight. No wobble or play at all. Lock is a little on the stiff side; i believe it needs to be well used to loosen up a bit. Received my replacement and the button is buttery smooth.
Bought the civivi baklash a couple years ago and was initially underwhelmed. Knife is damascus blade with carbon fiber handle. My husband and i are a collector of many pocket knives, and these have most definitely impressed the both of us.
This one has nitro v steel and is really slicy out of the box and it’s under $100 bucks. The only downside to this knife, is now i'm going to have to buy more civivi knives. But civivi is the best bang for your buck.
The ball berring style keeps it from spring out inadvertently. The action is smooth with good ceramic bearings. A little slippery in the grip.
Everything about this knife is just fantastic. They are super affordable and are comparable to some of the big name brands in quality. Excellent fidget toy.
Cons
This knife is nothing more than an expensive letter opener. It is not assisted opening like the kershaw and not a fan of the locking mechanism. You have to flick your wrist to get it to lock tight.
Highlights
Quality

Solid knife easy to open andthe blade is sharp.
I disassembled the knife and cleaned everything including the bearings, i applied a tiny bit of oil then reassembled the knife.
I goofed off, effortlessly slicing through a bunch of random things around my house for an hour after opening it.
Price
For the price, it’s a great knife to add to your collection.
The price point for this knife is a gift.
Especially at such a ridiculous price point.
For the price, i was expecting some imperfections or something i'd nit-pick.
Shipping
Bought the civivi baklash a couple years ago and was initially underwhelmed but carried it daily anyways.
Competitiveness
Based on this first buy, i will be buying a few more civivi products in different styles.
Civivi has blew my expectations, so much so i bought a second elementum ii and the vision fg.
2 years later and 3 other failed edc knives from other brands i realized bang for buck civivi was where it's at.
Ya get a zt or another name brand knife for well over the cost of anyone of the civivi then do a side by side and send the othe... Read More
