Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Perfect layer count for a blad of this size to really showcase the pattern. The hollow grind is flawless and the plunge line is perfect. The blade profile and grind are both elegant and utilitarian.

The button lock feature is very smooth and fidgety. But that "stiffness" is actually a boon. The lock is great and provides zero blade wiggle, open or closed.

The carbon fiber handles are smooth, but still provide a very trusting feel in the hand. Grip still has the same amount of gripiness as it did new. It's a little tricky but it does have a lanyard hole for those who are wondering.

The cherry on the sundae is the button lock models. This button lock version is much better if you get the hang of the flipping down.

It's a fun knife. It's worth every penny. This knife meets every expectation.

Quality

Quality of knife far exceeds the price point couldn't be happier.

The traditional damascus pattern also invokes a uniqueness and again a quality product.

I'm not 100% if the description says anything but it is not spring loaded, it's a gravity open and shut with the button lock.

Lefties beware because of the side with the button a left handed grip can press it when using the knife at certain angles.

Shipping

Great knife extremely sharp out of the box shipping was super quick just a great edc knife!

I’ll start of by saying this was a fast purchase for me.

Packaging/appearance

Really nice solid feel and very, very sharp right out of the box.

Competitiveness

Already having the basic civivi elementum, i wanted a button lock micarta version.

Grip still has the same amount of gripiness as it did new.

Overall, i have already purchased a bugout 533-3 since i'll be able to gain better control with it.

For the record, one of my favorite knifes is a benchmade 940.
