Pros
Civivi makes great knives. This one spanks them all. Very fun to fidget with. Button lock is a game changer.
Nitro-v is way stronger than civivi’s d2 steel. Holds a good cutting edge without the need for sharpening. The damascus is a little bit wonky looking in the middle.
Action is buttery smooth and edge is hair shaving sharp. Button lock is also super smooth with no squeak, rattle or lockrock.
The push button locking mechanism is the best i've ever used. The flipper is perfect, and feels very satisfying. It is so easy to open by flipper or by spidey flick.
The mini praxis and the elementum are some of my faves but this one is a definite step up. I see complaints in many of the reviews that are so outlandish i had to say something. All my civivi's are great and this a top favorite.
Cons
Despite being described as buttery smooth, the button release is sticky and the flipper tends to freeze. The mismatched micarta scales are just not acceptable. It really seems this batch is just a bad batch.
The button for the blade lock on this one is purely decorative. The action sounds like it's cheap when deploying the blade.
Absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. My recommendation is just don’t do it. This product is dangerous and should not be continued to sold on amazon.

This is a solid knife with a serious demeanor and a wicked sharp factory edge.
Price
Although a bit expensive i highly recommend it.
This knife is worth the price i paid of around $80.
I can't believe this knife for this price.
At this price, it’s a good buy.

I will be buying more from the civivi line up.
Though civivi offers some great titanium pocket clips that you can put on it!
Packaging/appearance
Came perfect and sharp out of the box action is spot on on both the flip out and the flipper.
This allowed the knife box to bounce around inside the shipping box.
The small knife box was placed inside an amazon box almost as big as a shoe box with no packing material.
Competitiveness
Civivi is really turned out to be a excellent foreign knife maker that really seems to be tuned into the american knife market.
The second copy by comparison, is great!
The nitro-v is way stronger than civivi’s d2 steel.
The only negative is the length ( i am a fan and owner of a governor) but it is another great option from civivi.

The bearings provide a smooth opening and closing experience and the button has no wiggle and is easy enough for every day use but isnt accidentally pressed

But the knife lives in a world of its own so im not criticizing it for its size because the size is wonderful actually just i do have a thing for not micro knives or compact knives but just a little bit smaller than standard working knives

It opens with the flipper thumb lever by pushing the button and flipping it or by using the grove on the blade and using your thumb
