There is no pin fastener, just a press on. Looks sturdy but flimsy and breaks quickly. To my dismay the discs that come with this are not standard.

Bought it to replace my wearever press that finally wore out after 25 years.

I had to contact the maker of this cookie press because it came disassembled and it had cookie dough all in it

Clearly it had been returned to amazon and without checking its condition it was resold
