I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product.
I believe this was happening with the old filter, which didn't even have foam around the edges to seal the filter properly.
The air quality was improved immediately with very noticeable positive change.

Works perfect on my 2013 infiniti g37s sedan.
The filter material is clearly thicker and higher quality than the paper-like material of the replaced filter.
I particularly like that it could be installed either side up--no arrows to pay attention to.

The way its installed in this car the filter must hold its shape under suction force otherwise it will warp and allow air to escape around the edges

As long as the size is the same as what you remove you can’t install it incorrectly
