I found that this product works really really well on brandnew urine spots on carpets from pets but not nearly as well on older areas

I checked places i knew our pug had peed in the past and we had found shortly after and used the clorox urine spray to blot up and those places were free of any remaining urine traces

However i did experiment with using this as well as resolve pet formula carpet foam each on a different old stain and i found that the clorox urine spray was able to get the old urine off of hard surfaces still ie

The clorox urine doesnt have a particularly perfumey or chemical smell but it does have a scent of some sort which i am not a huge fan of but it doesnt linger in the carpet after blotting it and the urine up and it does seem to remove the urine smell rather than cover it up

I cant attest to how well it removes stains as the color of the carpet our pug peed on didnt stain from the urine to begin with
