This paper is fun for locating hidden magnets. Works on all fridge magnets. You can usually sit it right on top of the magnet.

I can see my magnets through it and my 3 year old calls it "lava" when placed on magnetic building blocks.
It works but takes time to reset the iron particles.

The distance to the magnetic must be fairly small

This is because you can usually sit it right on top of the magnet

The moment the distance is greater then 4mm the papper becomes more and more oblivious to the magnets exponentially with each mm

Therefore on some phones you will only be able to see the magnets on the back
