Pros
These do the trick and extremely powerful. Won't pinch your fingers painfully if you get yourself caught between them.
Magnets have an endless number of uses. Works like a champ. It performs that task even better than i expected. Decent price and fast ship.
Cons
They work ok, but the chrome is chipping on #5. The chrome side is not strong at all.

I love this magnet, so easy to use, not extremely heavy, does a nice job.
Previously had plastic clips, but they disintegrated several years ago.
I trim a 1/2" diameter aluminum rod by facing the ends and tapping holes for 1/4-20 threads on each end.
Price
Less than $4 apiece is really good deal.
Works good enough that i’m able to put a $4k thermal to the top of my truck at 65mph with no issues.
The fit is perfect and the cost is almost 5 times less than the price for 2 of the o.

On some metal surfaces i have to slide the magnet out to an edge to be able to pry it off the surface
