It folds with both outside edges folding in first and then folds in half.
The relatively thick carpet on the ramp makes sure it is not slippery at all, and a dog can feel comfortable on it.
Competitiveness
The quality is decent - definitely better than some of the cheap products i've tried.
It is long enough to not have a very steep incline (unlike another brand i tried).

I have two 110 lb dogs who magically can clear a 4 ft fence without touching it but when its time to go to the vet they cant figure out how to get into the truck

He did not seem nearly as stressed walking up the ramp as he does when we make him get in the truck by himself

This extends a good way down but we still need to get the back of the truck on a slight slope to get the angle good enough for a nervous old dog
