To connect the 2 halves together the poles slip onto a small metal pole with the spring pins which are suppose to pop out into holes drilled in the poles
The problem i ran into was that even though the pins looked secure in the pin hole they weren’t and after getting the step of rolling and unrolling the awning that the poles separated
