The unit becomes permanently stained after 1 use but does not seem to effect the quality of the water.
Our tap water stinks of chlorine, and the residue left behind in the machine is truly disgusting.

Out of the box the water from the machine tends to drip along the side of the chrome receptacle cover and flow outside the container
